Become an Event Scout.
395local runs on locals who keep an eye out. If you're out and about in the Eastern Sierra, you can help make sure nothing slips through the cracks — no experience needed, no set hours.
What Event Scouts do
Scouts are our eyes on the ground. When you spot a flyer on a community board, a sandwich board outside a shop, or a poster at the library, snap a photo and send it in. We read it, sort it, and get the event onto the calendar — you don't have to type a thing.
- Photograph flyers and posters wherever you see them.
- Pass along events you hear about — a friend's show, a school fundraiser, a trail day.
- Flag anything that looks out of date so we can fix it.
Help spread the word
Not the flyer-hunting type? There's plenty more: share our posts, suggest events or venues we should be watching, help with social media, or just tell your neighbors the calendar exists. Small nudges add up — especially in the Mammoth area, where we're still growing.
Posters & coloring pages
Print these and put them up wherever the community gathers — the library, the co-op board, a coffee-shop window. They're toner-light (easy on the ink), and every poster has a QR code that opens the calendar. Tap any image to download the full-size file.
